Liaison & Collaboration

OCEANIDS collaborates with related EU-funded projects and initiatives to create synergies, exchange knowledge, and align efforts in coastal resilience, Earth Observation, and data-driven decision-making. These liaison activities support mutual learning and help maximise the impact of project results.

HARMONIA

HARMONIA develops a resilience assessment platform to help urban stakeholders understand and quantify climate change impacts. Using satellite and auxiliary data, the platform provides local-level information to support decision-making for climate adaptation and mitigation, addressing both climate-intensified natural hazards and human-induced impacts such as heat islands, air quality, and emissions.

VALORADA

VALORADA focuses on co-developing FAIR, customizable data-manipulation tools to improve access, sharing, and use of climate, socioeconomic, demographic, and Earth Observation data. The project supports user-oriented multi-data integration, capacity building for end users and service providers, and aims to reach TRL 7+, including exploring links with the Copernicus Atmosphere Data Store.

NAUTILOS

NAUTILOS is a Horizon 2020 Innovation Action addressing gaps in marine observation and modelling by developing cost-effective sensors and samplers for essential ocean variables and micro-/nano-plastics. The project focuses on the integration, validation, and large-scale demonstration of new technologies, supporting scalable, modular, and open-source solutions for marine environmental monitoring.

CoCliCo

CoCliCo develops an open-source web platform providing information on present and future coastal risks. The platform supports decision-making for coastal risk management and adaptation through an integrated service dedicated to coastal adaptation to sea-level rise.

Mission Atlantic

MISSION ATLANTIC aims to improve understanding of Atlantic Ocean ecosystems and the drivers of change affecting marine biodiversity and resources. Through Integrated Ecosystem Assessments, the project supports managers and policy makers in balancing environmental protection with sustainable development and contributes scientific evidence for informed ocean governance.

MSP4BIO

MSP4BIO supports science-based Maritime Spatial Planning to safeguard and restore biodiversity within a coherent European network of Marine Protected Areas. Funded under Horizon Europe, the project contributes to the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2030 and the EU Green Deal by integrating biodiversity into marine policy and governance.

MARCO-BOLO

MARCO-BOLO addresses fragmentation in marine biodiversity monitoring by connecting existing initiatives, improving observation methods, and advancing innovative technologies. The project spans the full data pipeline—from data collection using eDNA, robotics, and optical and acoustic tools to data integration and policy-relevant applications—supporting more effective marine ecosystem monitoring and management.
